My Year in 9M SST

 In social studies we started off with learning about the Treaty Of Waitangi then went on to studying About how and why people have/had top migrate. After that going on to term 3 we learnt about different cultures and how they are different from ours and lastly we are being Globally minded and looking into all the ways our world and people are affected by globalization.

I learnt lots of new things relating to all units and had lots of fun especially going on the trip to Waitangi I'm Also looking forward to what next year bring me in 10 Social Studies

Key terms about culture

  So in social studies we are learning about culture and some key terms about culture. So here is my mind map on culture.

Consumerism

This week we viewed a video in our Social Studies class called “Consumerism”. Here are some of the main messages I got from this video:

One was just how much we are destroying the earth with all the new and different technology products that we as humans are creating/producing.

Another message is the we're throwing a lot of stuff out into landfill instead of reusing or recycling.

And also that the advertisement these days draw us into buying all the new products
